What an interesting thing, this blogging. It is a phenomenon that has blown up over the past several years that allows any person with Internet access to publish their writing on the Internet for a global audience to read and respond to. The practical applications for this technology have been evolving quickly. For our purposes, blogging has potential beyond our own creative confines.
In a specific example, blogging can be used as an avenue for NEs to build effective and lasting support structures with each other. With NE Developers as mediators, this idea could replicate the now existing conference call in a more convenient and effective way. Convenient in that, the now existing conference call has been difficult to coordinate within a team, therefore attendance to the calls has been poor in general. With blogging, the same conversation could be had, but NEs could now comment at their leisure (within a given time frame), possibly with more thoughtful responses.
Now, unlike the conference call, the conversation within the blog does not end. This is great in that a thought for discussion one day might allow for a different personal application in the future. NEs can reflect on and add to the conversation at a much later time. There is a record of the ongoing conversation that NEs can reference as a support to their changing needs. The discussion grows, evolves, and has the potential to support the NEs in a more effective and educationally sound fashion.

This is so cool!
